Beijing 2008 Olympics Web site launched
BEIJING, 12 (UPI) -- The official Web site for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games was launched Wednesday by Xinhua, the games' host news agency.
China's state-run news service said the Web site will make available continuous information about the international sports event through an all-media approach. The site's news service will offer updated information on www.chinaview.cn/08olympics in English, French and Chinese.
Xinhua Vice President Ma Shengrong said the news agency would do its best to honor its appointment by the International Olympic Committee.
"It is our obligation to promote the Olympic Spirit around the globe and ensure a comprehensive coverage of the Beijing Olympics," Ma said.
"As host news agency, Xinhua would also like to promise to provide media organizations from all over the world with assistance to the best of our capacities."
